Review: Maybelline Lash Sensational

Hey guys,

I recently bought Maybelline Lash Sensational! I have been trying it out all week so I decided to review it.

 

So, here is the packaging. I personally love the colour of it: quite metallic! Also, I bought this for £5.99 at boots but that is an introductory price. The usual price will be £7.99.

 

This is the brush. It is a plastic wand. As you can see, there is a curve in the brush! On the outer side, the "spikes" are longer and on the inner side the "spikes" are shorter. I like this as you can apply it easier as it curves like your natural lashes. The outer side also means that you can go over it once doing the smaller side first.

 

Excuse the face! I thought I would show you just how amazing the mascara really is! If you couldn't tell, my left eye is where I have applied it and the right eye is just my lashes with nothing on!

Would You Rather Tag!

Hey guys,
I have decided to do this as I am on half term and have some spare time! Hope you enjoy!
1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
Wow! I have no idea. Possibly the shadows as I could do a more liner based eye look?!
2. Would you rather chop all of your hair off or never be able to cut it again?
I have actually been growing my hair for 4 years so maybe never cut it again so all my hard work is not lost!
3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I always do a pink cheek so probably just that!
4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Clothes? But you would get less that way?! I do not know!
5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Eyeliner as lipstick as I could treat it like a lip liner but lipstick is way too big to make it look nice on your eyes in my opinion!
6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
I do not have Sephora in the UK so I will have to vote MAC.
7. Would you rather only use one eye shadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
One eye shadow colour I suppose. It would be quite natural that way I could dress it up with liner and a bold lip.
8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Maybe summer clothes in Winter as it is usually too cold to go outside anyway and the bright colours cheer me up.
9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails! Did you read my last answer?
10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip colour or favourite eye product?
Favourite lip product as it is my Carmex lip balm pot and I can use other lip balms I suppose :(
11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or messy bun?
Ponytail as you can do more with it.
12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip-gloss?
Never use lip-gloss because I can use lipstick still and I love painted nails!
13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
Shave then fill them in but not with sharpie. Or use a blonde sharpie.
14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
*cries* I DONT KNOW!

Mini Catch-Up

Hey guys,

I recently started a YouTube channel and I have been really enjoying it! I am not going to write on my blog every time I upload as that would get tiresome but I do keep you informed via my twitter and instagram when I have uploaded a new post on here or a new video.  My twitter is @emilykatiex and my Instagram is @xemilykatie .

Sleek Pallete 4 Ways

Hey guys,

I wanted to do a makeup post for you guys and lately I have been loving my sleek storm palette. I got it for Christmas and have been using it ever since!

 

This is a really natural look where I nave just put the champagne colour all over my lid then a little bit of the lightest brown in my crease.

 

 

Here I have placed the pink all over my eye then the plum or purple on the outer two thirds and blended it to look super natural.

 

I went quite natural again here! I put the lightest gold all over and the darker gold in a v shape towards the outside of my eye.

 

I could not resist using the blue shades in one look! I just placed the lighter blue all over and the navy in a v near the outside!
