Comic Relief: Cup-Cakes!

It is Comic Relief on Friday so I thought I would share what I did for Comic Relief with you!

 

Here are my cupcakes! They are really simple but I really like them. I made 24 vanilla cup-cakes with a vanilla butter-cream topping. I created these using the cupcake kit from Sainsbury's which cost £2.50 and at least £1.25 goes to charity. You get 24 adorable cases and 24 little cake toppers. I baked simple cupcakes and piped the cream on from the inside out.

Empties #4!

Hey guys,

I cannot believe that I have done 3 of these posts already! Anyway, here are the products that I have recently used up!

I am going to work from left to right! First is a big red bottle-this is my Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends shampoo. I used up the conditioner too but I binned it! Sorry! I have repurchased these and they are amazing. I find it really hard to find everyday shampoo and conditioner for my hair as I have no major problems but this really helped to prevent split ends which I do get :( I would recommend this to anyone with long hair! Next is a flirty curls scrunching jelly from Umberto Giannini. This sounds so weird! I got a curly hair set for Christmas and this was one of the products. I apply this after using the matching shampoo and conditioner and my curls stay in for so much longer! The next product is a nail polish remover which is not as interesting. I really like the Sally Hansen ones, they tend to remove my nail polish quite quickly and they are quite inexpensive! I also used up a perfume which I am really sad about! I am in love with this perfume-Princess by Vera Wang. I love all of Vera Wang's perfumes but I just was so in love with this. Thick and Fast mascara by Soap and Glory is next and this was so good. it really made my lashes more voluminous! I would recommend this mascara but there are cheaper alternatives if you do not have a big budget like me! Ted Baker shower gel is next. I really liked the smell of this-orchid- and they are one of my favourite flowers! Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation is last and this is amazing I have repurchased it, it is such a lovely foundation. Perfect coverage for me and the finish is so nice too!

Had My Op!

I promise I will be getting back to doing beauty posts but I thought I would just update you on how my op went! I am going to be honest by the way!

So I arrived at 7:09- do not ask me how I know the time! I then went to the children's ward where I was staying and was given a bed. I practiced my German speaking and read for a bit. Lots of people came over to talk to me about what was going to happen and how they were involved in my operation. I had a really nice nurse who kept chatting to me while I was staying in the ward. Then I was asked to go down. I went to the toilet first then walked down to the room. The nurse and my mum came with me. I was wearing a hospital gown by the way! I led down in this other bed then and met this guy who was going to do my surgery. I had this numbing cream on my hand all the time I was at the hospital. I do not remember what happened next but my mum has explained it to me. They put the needle in my hand and we were all talking. I then said that I felt dizzy and fuzzy. My mum then told me that she was asked to leave and I was taken to another room -I was asleep by this point.

The next thing I remember is a random woman shouting my name. I was so scared as I did not know where I was but then I remembered and I was fine. The new lady gave me some water. My mum was then called down and this guy wheeled me back to my ward. I was talking for a bit and drinking lots of water. About an hour later I ate some chocolate mousse and the nurse got me a milky tea as that is what I fancied! I was soon able to walk around and I went to the toilet. My mum and I played some countdown on my iPad then I was discharged and we went home. I watched Silver Linings Playbook and it was amazing -I really recommend it!

My mouth is aching quite a bit and I cannot do much with my right hand but hopefully I will feel better soon!

Chit-Chat: Minor Op!

Hey guys,

So I would like to do a chatty video about this in the future but I have got an operation tomorrow! If you remember not long ago called My Teeth! http://emilykatie1606.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/my-teeth.html here is the link if you have not read it or cannot remember what I talked about!

When I was writing this, I was still not too sure if I was even going to have an operation but I am! I went for my pre-op in half-term and learnt about my op. I will be arriving at the hospital at about 7:30 and I cannot drink past 6:30.  am not 100% sure about when my op is. I will be given a general anaesthetic and will not be awake during it (thankfully). I cannot leave until I have eaten which is understandable.

I will hopefully be able to finally get my braces soon! I will update you after the op to let you know how I got on!

FOTD- casual sunday!

So I have never done a FOTD blog post and I figured that I could give it a go as I am in love with my make-up today. If you didn't know, FOTD stands for Face Of The Day so basically what make-up I am wearing that day. Let me know if you like these and I will do more!

FOUNDATION: I am wearing a light application of Rimmel Match Perfection all over applied with a beauty blender.

CONCEALER: Collection Lasting Perfection under my eyes and on my blemishes.

BROWS: Tease from Naked 2. I am not the best at brows though.

EYE SHADOW: Burnout from Naked 3 all over and Trick on the outer corner and a bit under the eye.

EYE LINER: Just a Collection Kohl Pencil in Black on my tightline and waterline.

MASCARA: Maybelline Lash Sensational. I have done a review on this.

POWDER: Rimmel Stay Matte all over.

BLUSH: Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in Rosewood on the apples of my cheeks.

HIGH-LIGHT: A cream one from  Barry M palette.

BRONZER: Collection Matte Bronzer.

LIPS: Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Extreme Plump in Pink Out Loud.
