Dorset Apple Cake Recipe!

Hey guys,

This morning, I made a Dorset apple cake and I thought I would show you how!
Ingredients:
  • 225g butter (I use stork-perfect for cakes!)
  • 450g apples
  • little bit of lemon juice
  • 225g caster sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 225g self-raising flour
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 1tbsp Demerara sugar
  1. preheat the oven to 180'C
  2. grease a baking tin- you can do a few small ones or a massive one!
  3. peel and cut the apples to about a cm3- leave the core out!
  4. you can put a dab of lemon juice to stop the apples from browning.
  5. cream the softened butter and caster sugar together.

  6. beat in the eggs, self-raising flour and baking powder a little at a time.

  7. drain the apple pieces and add them to the mixture.

  8. spoon the mixture into the lined cake tin.
  9. sprinkle the top with the sugar.
  10. bake in the oven until golden brown- about an hour.
  11. leave it to cool for 20 minutes and ta-da!
I absolutely love this cake and I want to thank my mum for helping with pictures and stuff!

Ta-ta!xxx
